Terms of service

Last updated: 15 October 2026

  1. 1. Agreement

These terms govern the use of WorkAlto by the company that signs up (the customer) and by the people it invites. By creating a workspace or using the service you agree to them on behalf of the customer, and you confirm you are authorised to do so.

  2. 2. Accounts and workspaces

Each customer gets its own workspace. The customer decides who is invited and with which role, and is responsible for all activity in its workspace. Keep your password and second factor safe and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.

  3. 3. Plans and fees

Fees are charged per active employee per month in UAE dirhams (AED), according to the plan chosen. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at the applicable rate. Fees are billed monthly in advance unless agreed otherwise in writing.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from the next billing period.

  4. 4. Customer data and responsibilities

The customer owns the data it enters and grants us the rights we need to host and process it to provide the service. The customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to enter employee data and for its accuracy.

WorkAlto helps calculate leave, gratuity, payroll and WPS files under UAE labour law, but the customer remains responsible for checking results before approving payroll or paying salaries, and for its own legal and regulatory compliance.

  5. 5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content or activity, no attempts to access other customers' data or to break security controls, no reverse engineering, overloading or reselling the service without our written consent.

  6. 6. Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available at all times, apart from planned maintenance, and we support customers by email in English and Arabic. We may improve or change features as long as we do not materially reduce the core service during a paid period.

  7. 7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend a workspace for unpaid fees or serious breach of these terms, after notice where reasonable. While suspended, workspace data is read-only and only the owner can reach billing.

The customer may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. After termination the customer may export its data for 30 days, after which we delete it as described in our privacy policy.

  8. 8. Intellectual property

We own the software, design and brand. The customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during its subscription. Feedback may be used to improve the service without obligation.

  9. 9. Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for this agreement, except where disclosure is required by law.

  10. 10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is, to the extent the law allows. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit or data, arising from the service.

Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees the customer paid in that period, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

  11. 11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

  12. 12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will notify customers of material changes at least 30 days in advance. Questions: hello@workalto.com.
